Bacon is a type of salt-cured pork, typically made from the belly or back of the pig. Known for its rich, smoky flavor and crispy texture, bacon has become a popular ingredient in various cuisines around the world. Whether enjoyed on its own, as part of a breakfast platter, or incorporated into various dishes, bacon’s versatility continues to captivate taste buds.
While bacon is undeniably delicious, it’s essential to understand its nutritional profile. A typical serving of bacon is high in protein but also contains a significant amount of fat. This includes both saturated and unsaturated fats. Moderation is key when including bacon in your diet, particularly for those who are conscious of their fat intake.

- 2 cups Natural Greek yoghurt
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup Bacon pieces
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup Grated tasty cheese
- Garlic powder
- Dried parsley flakes
instruction:
- Mix the bacon pieces, parsley and garlic powder
together and mix to combine. - Set aside
- Mix the yoghurt and the flour together until it forms a
dough that holds. - When it starts to come together, I turn
onto a floured board and knead for a few minutes until all
flour is well incorporated and it’s a smooth dough
Line the slow cooker with a piece of baking paper, and
pop the dough in. - Top with bacon mix and grated cheese, put the lid on
with a tea towel under the lid to absorb any moisture
and set to low. Cook for 2.5 hours.
Remove and put under a grill to brown the top slightly. - You don’t have to do this step, it just makes it crispier on
top.
